Current Focus: Community Garden & Outreach
Rich Roots gardens aim to boost food security in Rochester by establishing four community gardens within a year, engaging 100 members, and securing land stewards. The initiative promotes sustainability and BIPOC practices through composting, water conservation, and awareness of Indigenous Black food traditions. It also fosters community involvement via monthly workshops and partnerships with local urban gardeners and farmers.

3 to 5 Year Project:
The Rich Roots Community Supported Agriculture (CSA)
is dedicated to offering affordable, fresh, and locally-sourced food to low-income by creating a direct connection between local farmers and the community. This initiative allows community members to receive shares of seasonal produce without financial strain, they have access to nutritious food options. project is supported by local sponsors, grants, and collaborations with organizations focused on food justice. By financial obstacles, the project tackles food insecurity also enhancing community bonds and encouraging sustainable farming practices, benefiting both farmers and residents alike.
