Help Our Vision Grow
The Rich Roots 585 intend to build community gardens aims to improve food security and accessibility in the Rochester community. By first establishing community gardens within a year, involving 100 community members in gardening activities, and finding long-term land stewards for each garden.
It also seeks to promote environmental sustainability and BIPOC agricultural practices by introducing composting, water conservation, and increasing knowledge about Indigenous and Black food traditions.
Join US and Make a Difference
Our core values is healthy food is a right. And the right can be exercised through BIPOC agriculture and food system practices in a practical and day-to-day way.
That's why we build community gardening and food education grounded in the legacy of Black and Brown folks locally and globally.
We believe in the power of community and invite you to join us in making a meaningful impact through BIPOC agriculture and food education.
